When does the next Steam sale begin?

Steam sale dates are usually a case of guesswork or conjecture based on previous sale periods.

Recently though, Valve has begun confirming the future dates outright. 

Earlier this year the company published the planned Steam sale dates on Steamworks so that publishers and others can access them and plan accordingly. So now we all know when it's happening and you can get your wallet ready to purchase those games you've been holding off on.

According to the official plan the Steam Summer sale is set to start soon with other sales following shortly after:

• Steam Summer Sales - 23 June to 7 July
• Survival sale - 18 July to 25 July

SteamDB has shared a leaked promo video directly from Valve which introduces the Steam Summer sale:

This video again confirms the next Steam Summer Sale date and its kick-off date on 23 June. Valve is promising discounts on a wide variety of games, no matter your favourite genre. 

The video itself suggests discounts on a number of recent solid favourites as well including:

• Ghostwire: Tokyo
• Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
• The Sims 4
• V Rising
• Red Dead Redemption 2
• Total War: Warhammer III
• God of War
• Dying Light 2
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Forza Horizon 5
• WWE 2K22
• Core Keeper

As usual, we're expecting to see the Steam Store being gamified during the sale period too. With animated backgrounds, mini-profiles, avatars and more available in exchange for points and mini-games to keep you checking back for more. So ready your wallet for some spending.
