Nintendo Direct: How to watch the Indie World showcase

Nintendo will stream a new presentation today, Wednesday 11 August.

The showcase will be focused on software only and, specifically, third-party indie titles coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year and beyond.

Here's when it starts and other information.

When does the Nintendo Indie World Showcase start?

The pre-recorded stream will be first broadcast at 5pm BST today, Wednesday 11 August 2021. Here are the times for your location:

  • West Coast US: 9am PT
  • East Coast US: 12pm ET
  • UK: 5pm BST
  • Central Europe: 6pm CEST

How to watch the new Nintendo Direct

You can watch it via the video embedded at the top of this page.

It will also be available through Nintendo UK's YouTube channel.

What to expect

The presentation will last 20 minutes and focus entirely on upcoming indie games for the Nintendo Switch.

It's slightly different to most Nintendo Direct presentations in that there will be no news or trailers of Nintendo's own first-party games. That means we won't see any more on Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 or Metroid Dread.

However, considering the success of the Nintendo Switch has been built on the backs of some of the best independent games out there, we're sure to get a load of excellent titles regardless.
