Huawei P50 launch: How to watch and what to expect
Huawei has announced that it will be unveiling its next "flagship products" on 29 July, and it's widely expected that this could - at long last - be the delayed launch of the Huawei P50 series.
It was anticipated that Huawei would announce its new flagship phone series in spring, as it usually would, but this year's been a little different. The manufacturer confirmed that it would be delayed, but it would release the phone as soon as it could.
When is the launch?
Huawei's not told us exactly what time the event is going to kick off. All we know so far is that Huawei will be announcing its next generation of devices on 29 July.
Once we have a confirmed launch event start time we'll update this piece with exact times for a number of timezones.
How can I watch it?
The launch event is going to be streamed on YouTube on the Huawei Mobile channel. You'll also be able to watch it on Huawei's consumer site: Consumer.Huawei.com.
While there's no dedicated video stream URL just yet, once there is we'll be sure to embed it in this page, and you'll be able to watch it right here too.
What's expected?
Simply, the Huawei P50 series. There have been a number of leaks throughout the first six months of 2021, so it's not exactly a secret anymore. In fact, Huawei itself has teased the phone.
Currently, we're expecting the series to feature the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro, both powered by flagship processors, Leica cameras and OLED displays.
The camera design has been talked about a lot since it first appeared. It appears Huawei is going with something of an unusual design, featuring multiple lenses split acrouss two protruding discs on the back of the phone.
