The first three Super Monkey Ball games are getting remastered, and they'll be releasing on Switch alongside just about every other consoles. These brilliant balance-based platformers are some of the best fun you can have in a plastic ball, so we're looking forward to rolling back in.
Metroid Dread

We were all waiting on Metroid Prime 4, but Nintendo had a throwback Metroid surprise in store at E3 2021. Dread is a 2D sidescroller like the Metroids of old, and looks like it's going to be terrific, creepy fun when it comes out soon.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
- Release date: 19 November 2021
- Switch exclusive: Yes
- Publisher: Nintendo
These upcoming remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl look absolutely brilliant, updating the graphics of the classic DS titles but retaining their art style, and letting a whole new generation of players enjoy their story.
They're from the true heyday of the franchise, in our opinion, so we can't wait to sink back into the Sinnoh region and explore eveything all over again.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp
- Release date: 3 December 2021
- Switch exclusive: Yes

Two of the very best turn-based strategy games ever made, this package will bring remasters of both Advance Wars titles from the Game Boy Advance days. They've got a beautiful updated look which actually brings the same sort of polish as the Pokémon remasters above. We'll certainly be strapping in to lead the troops when it comes out.

- Switch exclusive: No

Hollow Knight: Silksong is an upcoming Metroidvania action-adventure video game that's the sequel to 2017's award-winning Hollow Knight. You'll be journeying to all new lands with special powers to battle the bug hordes. It has been suggested that this game will launch in June but there's no official word yet.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Release date: 28 January 2022
- Switch Exclusive: Yes
- Publisher: Nintendo
This looks like a fairly radical new entry in the mainline Pokémon series - it's a flashback to a feudal-style time, where players will explore Sinnoh for the first time, compiling its first ever Pokédex as they go.
It loos like we'll have a true open world to explore, without boundaries and restrictions, and the new time setting looks absolutely gorgeous so far. It's a way off release, but this could be a special moment in the franchise's history if it comes off.
