Unbelievably, the Nintendo GameBoy first launched way back in 1989. All these years later Nintendo still reigns supreme with the superb Switch. When it comes to handheld gaming, you basically have two main options your phone or a Switch. 

For the most part, small form factor handheld games machines are a thing of the past. Destined to be playthings of retro fans and collectors alone.

There's no need to feel glum though, handheld gameplay has provided many great memories over the years and nobody can take them away from us.
