Samsung CES 2021 keynotes: How to watch the Better Normal For All event online
Samsung will be a force to watch at CES 2021, taking full advantage of the digital trade show with four events over the coming weeks.
Samsung kicked off on 6 January with its first event and has a series of launches across different parts of the company running up to 14 January with Galaxy Unpacked, where we're expecting the new Galaxy S to be revealed.
When is the Samsung CES 2021 press conference?
That's the key question, because there are a couple of events to look forward to. The next is called A Better Future For All and we're expecting this to be a general consumer electronics launch. It will take place on 11 January at 9am EST. Here are the international times:
- San Francisco - 06:00 PST
- New York - 09:00 EST
- London - 14:00 GMT
- Berlin - 15:00 CET
- Mumbai - 19:30 IST
- Tokyo - 23:00 JST
- Sydney - 01:00 AEDT, 07 Jan
Can I watch the press event online?
Yes, Samsung usually livestreams its keynotes on YouTube, although we've not found the latest press conference to embed yet. The company also offers an official CES 2021 mini site.
What to expect from Samsung at CES 2021
It's going to be a bumper year for Samsung in 2021 and it certainly look like there's going to be a lot announced.
The First Look 2021
Samsung used its first event of CES 2021 to talk about television. There are Neo QLED TVs using a new Mini LED technology, which will be the main flagship TVs for 2021, with lots of smart tech in them. There's an updated version of The Frame which will also work in portait, while the future tech is MicroLED, pitched at the high-end for those wanting the very best, and only coming in 110 and 99-inch sizes to start with.
Better Normal For All
- 11 January
Samsung's main "CES confernece" appears to be the second event it is hosting, called Better Normal For All. We suspect this is going to be a top-down consumer technology launch likely to cover a wider range of products. Often, this one of the keynotes at CES that garners the most attention. The company might use it to launch a new Chromebook, it will probably launch audio products including the Buds Pro and perhaps connected speakers. Will Galaxy Home get a proper launch?
Exynos
- 12 January
There's an Exynos event scheduled for 12 January where Samsung is expected to unveil the Exynos 2100, thought to be powering the new Samsung Galaxy S21 family of devices.
Galaxy Unpacked
- 14 January
We've talked about Galaxy Unpacked in a separate feature but we're expecting the launch of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra at the event.
