Leaked images may give us our first glimpse of Garmin's Lily smartwatch line for women

Garmin appears set to address the dearth of women's smartwatches by launching a focused line, the Lily, which has been revealed in a number of leaked images.

The set of Lily smartwatches seemingly takes inspiration from other Garmin devices, naturally, but scales back the strap sizes and general design to target women and those who prefer more subtle wearables.

According to the report, courtesy of WinFuture, the £199/$199 Garmin Lily will have a case size of 34mm, with the strap measuring in at just 14mm wide. This would make it one of the smallest smartwatches on the market - and a good, round-bezel alternative to the 40mm Apple Watch.

There are also Wear OS devices from Fossil Group's brands to consider, such as the Michael Kors Access Sofie 2 and the Kate Spade Scallop 2. However, the leak suggests the Lily may give women a bit more choice, with two models to pick between - the 'Sport', a more activity-focused experience, and the more everyday 'Classic' model.

The 'Sport' may not include all the exercise-heavy features of a Forerunner or Fenix, but it should compare well to something from Garmin's Vivoactive line. That means sensors for heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, though the leak does suggest that it won't feature built-in GPS.

Whichever users plump for, the battery life is estimated to be a healthy five days, though, of course, this will depend on what your setup and usage are like.

Aside from that, there's little more information regarding what we can expect - and that includes the release date. Like with any image leak this detailed, it could well be an indication the devices are close to launching, but it's also important to take anything unofficial with a grain of salt. We'll be updating you when we know more.
