Xbox free Games with Gold for December 2020: Saints Row and more

Each month, Xbox gamers can download and play a selection of free games as part of an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Xbox Live Gold is more than just free games though. It also gives Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One S and even original Xbox One owners the chance to play their games online and discounts on many digital games on the Xbox Store.

Membership in the UK usually costs £17.99 for three-months or £49.99 for a whole year's membership when paid up front. Alternatively, you can choose to pay monthly for £6.99 a month.

In our opinion though, the best way to subscribe is through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. For just £10.99 per month, you get Xbox Live Gold membership, Xbox Game Pass with access to over 300 games to download and play, EA Play, xCloud cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, plus Xbox Game Pass for PC with more than 200 Windows 10 titles.

The Raven Remastered

• Available 1 to 31 December 2020

Mystery murder game The Raven was Remastered for Xbox One consoles after originally appearing episodically on Xbox 360. It's a point-and-click adventure in the Agatha Christie sense, with a decent story that'll take you around 10 hours to complete.

Bleed 2

• Available 16 December 2020 to 15 January 2021

Retro action blaster Bleed 2 is great fun. You use both the thumbsticks of your Xbox wireless controller to shoot and jump your way through multiple levels of frenzied foes.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell

• Available 1 to 15 December 2020

A spin off on Saints Row 4, Gat out of Hell is as crazy as the recent SR games get. We should warn you though that it's got a fair amount of bad language and questionable themes, as has the trailer above.

Stacking

• Available 16 to 31 December 2020

Stacking is a cute and clever adventure game featuring a world of Russian dolls - hence the name.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell and Stacking are Xbox 360 games, available through backward compatibility. They are also available to Xbox 360 owners with Xbox Live Gold.

Of last month's free games, Swimsanity! will still be available for download until 15 December 2020.
