Google Stadia Pro free games for October 2020: Lara Croft and 5 more
Stadia Pro members not only get up to 4K HDR video streaming and 5.1 sound, they also get free games each month as part of their subscription.
Since launch, Pro members have received Destiny 2, Grid, Zombie Army 4, Serious Sam and many more games - all as part of the £8.99/$9.99 monthly fee.
And, with Stadia Pro now available for free for a month to new members, that means everyone can enjoy them right now.
An amazing six new free games have now been announced, so here are October 2020's titles you can play on the Stadia cloud gaming platform at no extra cost.
Dead by Daylight
- Available from 1 October 2020
With Halloween season upon us, what better way to celebrate than to become a horror movie monster in Dead by Daylight? The online multiplayer frightfest puts you either in the shoes of a killer or a potential victim trying to excape him or her. It also lauches with new Stadia feature "Crowd Choice", whereby spectators can view the action on YouTube and help determine the outcome.
Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris
- Available from 1 October 2020
Lara Croft stars in this top-down shooter come puzzle game, which can be played in either single-player or with up to four in co-op. It's actually the sequel to Guardian of Light, but improves on the action-adventure format in almost every way.
Human: Fall Flat
- Available from 1 October 2020
Another puzzle game, this time based heavily on physics and crazy control systems, Human: Fall Flat comes to Stadia with up to 16 person multiplayer action.
Superhot: Mind Control Delete
- Available from 1 October 2020
Pseudo sequel, Superhot: Mind Control Delete, offers similar time-based shooter action to the original, but with a stack of added elements and features.
Celeste
- Available from 1 October 2020
This retro-inspired 2D platformer is as tough as they come. It also has plenty of hidden surprises, so while its control system is simple to get to grips with, the journey could prove much more testing.
Jotun: Valhalla Edition
- Available from 1 October 2020
A stunningly beutiful game, with hand-drawn graphics, Jotun is an action-adventure that looks as good as it plays.
How to redeem your free Stadia Pro games
To redeem this month's games (and any games still available as part of Stadia Pro membership) follow the instructions below:
- Open the Stadia app on Android or iOS, or head to the Stadia webpage in Google Chrome.
- Open the store through the tab at the bottom (phone) or top (Chrome browser).
- If you are signed in you should see "Stadia Pro games" as the second scrollable menu.
- Either tap or click on each game you are yet to claim and that will take you to their individual page.
- Tap or click on "Claim".
- The game is now in your library to play as often as you like as long as you continue to subscribe to Stadia Pro.
Note, games are often taken off the Stadia Pro list, so can no longer be redeemed afterwards. However, they remain in your library to play.
