Cyberpunk 2077 delayed again
CD Projekt Red has announced a further delay to Cyberpunk 2077, in order to fix bugs before release.
Originally planned for 16 April, then pushed back to 17 September, the game will now hit stores on 19 November 2020 - likely also a clue to the launch date of the Xbox Series X, PS5 or both.
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated titles of the year, especially given it's CD Projekt Red’s first major release since The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt won many of the biggest gaming awards in 2015 and spawned a new Netflix series.
As such, it is a massive undertaking to get the game fully ready for launch - including the lengthy process of fixing every bug that can be found.

While sad, we applaud a developer for ensuring it doesn't release a bugged, unfinished game with numerous patches then arriving later. That's a scenario that happens all too often these days, so we're pleased that the version of Cyberpunk 2077 we get to play on release day will be as finely tuned as possible.
You can see a whole lot more of Cyberpunk 2077 on 25 June, with a Night City Wire online event set to show gameplay and new elements through a livestream.
