Chromecast brings smart skills to your TV. It's a simple dongle that connects to your TV via an HDMI socket and then you just have to connect it to your Wi-Fi and you'll be able to stream a whole load of content on your TV.
The Chromecast doesn't have any apps on the device itself. Instead, you open video and music apps on your smartphone, tablet or computer, such as Disney+, Netflix, Now TV, BBC iPlayer and Spotify, then send the movie, TV show or audio track to the Chromecast. It's about as simple as it gets when it comes to getting content on your TV.
Once the Chromecast has picked up the content you want to watch - The Mandalorian on Disney+ for example - you can continue to use your phone as normal, while the Chromecast takes the stream direct from the online source.

The other thing it offers is easy screen mirroring if you use an Android device - you can send your screen to the TV, share your photos or videos you've taken, all using Chromecast.
