Close to the Sun

  • Release date: 2019

Close to the Sun, one of our favourite PC games, is coming to Switch later this year.  This is an interesting and atmospheric action horror game with a steampunk vibe. It's set in a fictional universe where Nikola Tesla is battling with Thomas Edison for technological dominance around the world.

You play a journalist whose sister is aboard the vessel controlled by the mad scientist and it's your job to find and rescue her from the weird happenings going on onboard. With most of the crew apparently deceased and experiments going awry all over the place, there's plenty of tension and intrigue with this one.

  • Publisher: Xbox Game Studios
  • See the official site

A new Minecraft gaming adventure is coming to the Switch sometime in 2020. This is set to be a new action-adventure game inspired by classic dungeon crawlers. Blasphemous is a punishing 2D action-platformer which started out life on Kickstarter before being picked up by Team17. It's set to be a fast-paced hack-n-slash game with a deep narrative core and a huge universe of non-linear levels to explore.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

Although we don't yet know the official name, we're happy to see that the sequel to one of the most popular games on Switch is getting a sequel. That's right The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is getting another outing. We don't know when it is coming, but it's been teased at E3 2019 as being in development, so that's fairly exciting.

Untitled Pokémon RPG

  • Release date: TBC
  • Switch exclusive: Yes
  • Publisher: Nintendo

The big announcement from Nintendo Direct at E3 2018 was a new Pokemon RPG would be coming. But that's as much as we know. Heck, there's not even a video to show of this one, that's how little is known at this stage. Still, it's Pokemon, which is enough to get anyone extra excited.
