What We Do In The Shadows

  • Where: Amazon Prime Video
  • When: Available now

Before the TV series by the same name came this hilarious movie mockumentary starring Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) and Jonny Brugh as three vampires struggling to adapt to modern life. It's available to view on Amazon Prime Video now and then you can head over to the TV series (adapted by Clement for the small screen) on BBC iPlayer.

Serengeti

  • Where: BBC One (BBC Player)
  • When: Starts on 4 July

A new BBC nature series starts this week with Star Wars actor John Boyega narrating six episodes detailing the lives of several species living in the harsh landscapes of the African savannah. Where it differs from other documentaries is that it follows select groups of animals over the course of a year, making for an intriguing look at their characters as well as their behaviour.

Inside the Ritz Hotel

  • Where: ITV (ITV Hub)
  • When: Starts on 3 July

ITV debuts a series that goes behind the scenes as one of the most famous hotels in the world, The Ritz in London. Its staff and, even, celebrity guests reveal what makes the luxury hotel stand out from the rest.

Walter Presents: The Score

  • Where: More4 (All 4)
  • When: Available from 5 July

Dutch football drama The Score comes to More4 while the entire first two seasons become available to binge watch on the All 4 platform. It tells the tale of two brothers and their tested friendship as one is chosen to play Dutch Eredivisie football while the other is not.

The Professor

  • Where: Rakuten TV
  • When: Available to buy now

Johnny Depp stars as the eponymous professor who's life is turned upside down after he learns he has a terminal condition. It prompts him to live life to the fullest while also, seemingly, styling himself to look like Tony Stark.

Wimbledon

  • Where: BBC One & Two (BBC iPlayer)
  • When: Starts on 1 July

The most intense two weeks in the tennis calendar kicks off on 1 July, with the BBC showing every match in HD for the first time this year. Andy Murray will be playing, albeit only in the doubles as he recovers from his hip surgery, so it's time to cheer for Johanna Konta - the British number one competing in the Women's singles.

And one for the kids...

Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn

  • Where: Amazon Prime Video
  • When: Available now

Steven Spielberg's fully animated, big screen take on the Belgian boy detective is as charming now as when it first released in 2011. Packed with big British stars taking up voice duties, such as Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, this is a great adventure movie for the whole family to watch over the weekend.
