Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra launch: How to watch the launch event today

Xiaomi will be hosting an event today called Xiaomi Mega Launch. It's expected that the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra will be announced at the event, along with some other products, perhaps Xiaomi's folding phone which might use Mi Mix branding.

So what can you expect from the upcoming event, and how can you watch the reveal?

When is the Xiaomi Mega Launch?

The launch event is taking place on 29 March 2021. The time has been confirmed as 19:30 Beijing time (CST). Here are the global times so you know when to tune in:

• New York - 04:30 EDT
• London - 12:30 BST
• Berlin - 13:30 CEST
• New Delhi - 17:00 IST
• Tokyo - 20:30 JST
• Sydney - 22:30 AEDT

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be streaming the launch, via YouTube and on Mi.com.

What to expect from the Xiaomi Mega Launch

Xiaomi has already announced the Mi 11, but rumours of higher and lower positioned models to flesh out the family are rife. 

Mi 11 Ultra

The Mi 11 Ultra is expected to be the flagship model, with a 6.8-inch display offering a Quad HD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. We're expecting a Snapdragon 888 device, with most of the focus on the camera - the 50-megapixel Samsung GN2, apparently.

Mi 11 Pro

The Mi 11 Pro is thought to evolve the Mi 11, adding an optical zoom into the mix, but otherwise similar to the device that has already launched. 

Mi Mix 4

There's also talk of the Mi Mix 4 doing the rounds. This is thought to be Xiaomi's first commercial folding phone. Whether it will get the Mi Mix 4 name or not we don't really know, but Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be launching a new Mix device at the event.
